Last challenge: Create a 12 Piece Collection in 12 Weeks
Eliminated model: Jo-An
Jojie Llorel, the mentor, visited the three finalists in their homes to see the current status of their collections for the upcoming finale. First stop was in Makati City where Veejay Floresca resides. Before everything else, Veejay gave Jojie a picture of the two of them as a Thank You gift. Then they went to the workroom to start the one-on-one consultation. Jojie liked the palette Veejay used, but worried about the entire collection, not being close to 50% done. This is the first flashback episode of Project Runway Philippines, or as I like to call it “The bloopers episode.”
The first clip showed us about the judges Rajo Laurel, an international Filipino fashion designer, and Apples Aberin-Sahdwani, who started out in the fashion industry at an early age of 16. It was followed by Jojie Lloren, who I taught was chosen by the producers instantly, but wasn’t. Continue reading ‘Episode 13: The First Fourteen’
First of all congratulations to John Trinidad for winning the Fan Fave Promo contest, he won luxurious items for that. The designer he voted was Eli Gonzales, so congratulations also to him. I’m not supposed to say this so early, ‘coz this fan fave contest was announced, almost at the end of the show, but to make sure people would read this, I’m going to put this in the first few paragraphs.
I’m going to be straightforward… I think Eli won not because Continue reading ‘Episode 12: I Know What You Said Behind My Back’
The princess maybe young, but the store isn’t.
I just want to say, this episode’s opening is probably the best. With the evening shots and scenes, plus the ballad music. Though it’s also the saddest, with some of the designers crying like a river. Continue reading ‘Episode 9: Cinderella is 60, not 16.’
Not Emergency Room, nor the drama series.
Eli’s a Roller coaster! (and yes, I know he’s human.)
So what’s with the metaphor? You’ll soon know…
In the lobby, the designers had a really GOOD morning, ’cause they were served with an extravagant breakfast. Continue reading ‘Episode 8: E.R.’
Who do you think are the two unlucky designers who would be cut on the next challenge?
- Eli = 40% - 8 votes
- Mara = 25% - 5 votes
- Ava = 20% - 4 votes
- Ivan = 20% - 4 votes
- Veejay = 15% - 3 votes
- Aries = 15% - 3 votes
- Philipp = 15% - 3 votes
- Jaz = 5% - 1 vote
The result in this poll is quite similar to this.
Eli was obviously one of the predicted bottom two designers for episode 8 after his disastrous uniform Continue reading ‘Poll Result: Who do you think are the two designers who would be eliminated on episode 8?’
Just like Lord Maturan’s “I star Eli”, Bo also made a customized t-shirt for his roommates. Aries’ shirt has a print saying: “Expensive like Louis Vuitton, Bo Parcon”, while Philipp’s has “Choose pro or con, Bo Parcon”. Pretty cool idea by Mr. Bo.
Eli Won?
Yes, he did. Though Mara said, without Philipp’s idea he wouldn’t. Continue reading ‘Episode 7: TGII (Thank God I’m Immune)’
The dark clouds has passed away.
Well not quite, in the beginning of the episode, Eli was taking all his stress out in the conference room. Saying the judges are very unfair, and they are already preparing for Aries to be the winner of this first season.
Before taking their new challenge, all the models went out wearing a bridal gown. The designers were all shocked and happy… Continue reading ‘Episode 6: Calm River’
I didn’t like this episode.
There I said it.
Two disappointing episodes in a row… Episode 4 has fights, and instead of some “relaxation”, the designers got tired (Who wouldn’t lost his/her energy after swimming then hours later make an outfit?! I myself got tired watching it, I even wanted to just turn off the tv.) Continue reading ‘Episode 5: Simplicity and Literality’
Is it just me or is Aries the designated “star” to start the show? (rofl)
It’s sort of funny, but I just hope it won’t be repetitive, ’cause it can be slightly boring too.
Moving on…
Early in the morning, there was a huge buzz about the usage of a tank top by Veejay and Bo in their “hip-hop” dress. Eli and some of the designers agreed that it’s a technical foul Continue reading ‘Episode 4: It’s Nesvita, Not KitKat.’
