Japan: Yamapi dating Seira Kagami

We learned that popular group NEWS’ Yamashita Tomohisa is dating a popular half model on the 15th. His girlfriend is the truly half looking with a good face, Kagami Seira (22) who has a Canadian father and Japanese mother and leaves a strong impression on people. They’ve been dating for as many as three months at this point.

Yamapi acts as the lead in the current drama “Buzzer Beat”, and his character struggles with a complicated love life. The women he loves in real life, Kagami, acts as a model and a singer. She debuted as a model at 12 years old and in 2001 was recruited to be in Zexy’s commercial where she hummed “Papapapa~n” and drew attention with her big smile.

Yamashita, who is active as the leader of NEWS, and Kagami have never costarred together in dramas or movies, but met this year through a friend and quickly became close. According to people related to them, they’ve been dating since early summer.

Yamashita was at the live event Kagami held in July. Do to the large number of people he didn’t stand out that much, but there are people who saw them together happily. Kagami apparently tells happy stories about them to the female staff she trusts, so we can guess they must be happy together.

? Yamashita’s work is well known, but Buzzer Beat is currently doing great. He keeps a totally cool image, and stays so on set as he totally concentrates on acting. But maybe it’s the fact he has a girlfriend that creates the kind of acting which pulls such high viewership, so people are curious as to how things will develop.
