New Domain

by wolf ~ October 6th, 2009

High guys, last September 9, 2009 I registered a new domain and now the site is up and running. You can check it at funnyasianvids.com. It’s obviously a site for funny videos with asian-related content.

Funny thing is I noticed that the new domain has a triple 9 in the creation date — 9/9/09, just like the one from my first domain — afufu.net which was first published in 7/7/07. :)

afufu.net Tribute to Michael Jackson

by wolf ~ July 8th, 2009

Today is July 07, 2009 in America, and as you know it’s the anniversary of my site. But sadly at the same time it’s the memorial day of Michael Jackson.

afufu.net pays tribute to this legendary icon, and here to remember him is a duet of my favorite pop star Britney Spears, and of course the King of Pop — Michael Jackson:

Three New Blogs

by wolf ~ May 7th, 2009

There are three new sites under my domain: afufu.net. And, no, I’m not the webmaster.

Cross Game -Japanese Music site, includes: news, scans, videos, and music downloads

Webmistress: neko-chan

Noir -Blog about: rock music (eg: Muse), action/suspense anime/films, magic the gathering, games, gadgets, etc.

Webmaster: wee098

Shoutaba -Asian News site, everything about films, albums, anime, actors, singers, idols, etc.

Webmistress: Shoutaba

So I gave them free webspace and subdomain, what’s the catch? Well, the earnings from the ads (site donations not included) on their blogs will be divided, there’s a set ratio for me and for them. On the first payment, it’s 50-50, second: 60-40, and for the third and coming payments it’ll be 70-30, them earning way more than me.

Want to blog and earn at the same time? Then contact me, just make sure we know each other in real life. =D

My First Online Payment

by wolf ~ May 1st, 2009

Finally, after almost two years since I setup my sites, I was able to receive my first $100. I know it’s not that much, but still, it’ll be a big help for me to make a US Dollar Savings bank account in BDO. I’ll be needing $200 though, ’cause that’s the minimum initial deposit. So $100 more and I can make an account in AlertPay. I’m already working on my Paypal account, maybe a week or two from now I’ll start to sign-up as a publisher to other advertising networks.

So here’s a small tip to those who’ll have their first time transaction in Western Union. These are the important info you will need:

  • Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN)
  • Payment Amount
  • and Google’s address which is: Google Ireland, 1600 Amphittheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA

In the sender’s name I input: Google Inc.. If you were asked what’s your relationship with Google, just say you’re an affiliate. Lucky for me the employee already had previous encounters with webmasters like me/us. He even told me that there’s someone who earned like $300, and the other like a thousand. Plus, he added he’s also making a blog and hoping to earn huge, he asked me if it’s easy, and I responded with “no”. It’s possible, but it’s definitely not like magic.

I remembered in my first month, I think I only earned 14 cents. Thankfully I didn’t lose hope, eventhough people around me laughed about it. I continued working hard on my sites, experimenting stuff, learning how to use Wordpress, etc.

The one thing I hated the most, was when people who are very close to me, pushed me to do something I don’t want to. I know they want to help, but for me it only showed that they don’t trust me. I repeatedly told them “Hey, I’m only 18!

The number one reason why I don’t want to work offline is because I already have a bond with my computer (I know it’s not a living organism, but that doesn’t matter.), and I want to prove that I can earn using my own computer which have been with me for 10 years (1999-2009, I officially became it’s owner in year 2002). Though there’ll come a time when I have to bid farewell to my pc, and buy a new one.

It’s great to have a goal which you have really thought about. Don’t follow something just because it’s what the “majority” is doing. In working online, at first you need to invest a lot of time, but in the end it will all pay off.
